Dear Ken Adachi,

Are there any good bible translations now? Are there any good churches now?

I love Jesus but have become discouraged at the shallowness of the many churches I have visited. Some rarely use the bible.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Hi Brenda,

The Bible should be a private guide for inspired thought. When used by charlatans, it becomes a tool of manipulation and deception. I find the most damage comes from so-called non-denominationals, evangelicals, and charasmatics.

Traditional Catholic or Protestant churches don't depend on histrionics, emotionalism, or flamboyant preaching. Politics is usually avoided. The Kingdom of God is within, so you don't really need a church to lead a spiritual life, but if you like going to a church, find a traditional one without the Armageddon /End Times brain washing and seek those whose sermon reflects the thoughts of Christ given at the Sermon on the Mount, rather than the fiery rhetoric of Zionist henchmen like John Hagee.

Regards, Ken
