Subject: Educate yourself?
Hi Ken,I have to say I’m really disappointed in what I read at your site. If you want us to be “educated” then your writers (you?) should educated themselves (yourself).
The American people do NOT elect the President of the United States directly and there is a very good reason for that. The US Constitution clearly states that the President is elected by the states elected officials, not the people. We elect our state representatives and they determine their own selection process; that has been by our election process, but it is not a US Constitutionally guaranteed right. The electoral college was set up to guarantee that the smaller states have some say in who is elected to the presidency which would be determined solely by California, New York, Florida and perhaps Texas if it were left totally to the “Popular” vote as you seem to indicate should have been done in your article,
“Where Have All the Naughty Children Gone?”
It would seem to me, that if your site is there to educate people then you should have your facts all together before spouting such nonsense. The democratic party (at least in the south) has been notorious for sleazy acts of baring voters and stealing elections ever since it came into being so please stop this nonsense and if you think I’m republican, forget it. I’m libertarian to the hilt and since it seems to me that nothing ever changes and no matter what we attempt the same old stuff continues to happen, even when we have the people up in arms over an issue – the politicians are in the back pockets of the money men - I’ll likely turn in my voters registration soon. So I’m not for either party—I’m totally disgusted with them all but I am even more disgusted with those who tell the half truths and party line disinformation that passes for truth.
Sincerely,
Debra Le

Hello Debra,OK, well I guess that takes care of that!
By the way, the article you mentioned was written by Fivos Olympios, not me. He lives in England, I believe.
Kind Regards, Ken

Well, that explains it – I guess we cannot expect someone from England to understand the workings of our government, can we? – Most of us here in the US don’t even fathom how it really works do we? Thanks for your response. I was really bummed out by this as I find most of your articles to be so right on the money that I couldn’t believe what I was reading there!
Thanks for clearing it up for me.
