You expressed concern about the electric company noticing that you had attached it, and them possibly calling in the ....  If you avoid attempting to sell electric back to the power company, by not hooking it to their lines, then at worst they might notice that you don't seem to be buying as much electric as you used to. Further camoflage is that this summer they will probably be running more educational campaigns to try to get people to conserve electric.

 Actually, I've never known the electric companies to investigate: cut offs, or add ons. They just read the meter and send a bill. There would be no problem.

 Along these lines, I'm reminded of the story of John Searle in Britain many  years ago. He was running a FE motor in his home and producing his own  electricity. He attracted the attention of the authorities precisely because  his electric bill was zero. The police came and literally took his device
 away from him, without justification or explanation. They warned him if he made another one, they would take him away too-permanently.

 My advice is, if you develop a FE device that produces your own electricity,  it would be wiser to have a modest usage and electric bill with the local  power company-as if you were away from home most of the time- and not draw  attention to yourself.
