The skies over last two nights in Salmon Arm have been crystal clear. Orion is like a giant standing atop Mount Ida south of our house. It is so clear that all the stars of the Pleiades were distinct points. Even the faint stars of Cancer were visible and the two claws could be seen. Leo is fully above the eastern horizon and Sirius is turquoise?

I checked the blue of Rigel and like I remembered from years of viewing, it is sapphire blue just like Sirius used to be. As the height of Rigel and Sirius are similar the green-blue is not atmospheric haze.

What is happening? A green star? A Lapis Lazuli star? Was Sirius green-blue in ancient times? Did the Egyptians see a green-blue star in ancient times?

I checked Betelgeuse (Beetle Juice) it was red like I remembered. Canopus is below the southern horizon from 51 degrees north so I could not use its colour for comparison.

"Sirius are you changing?" Ten light-years away is nearby in astronomical terms. I saw a flash of teal as winds high in the atmosphere rippled your light. Can I reach you tonight in my dreams? Ten light-years is not a big stretch.

"Sylphs! What do you see? You who made the skies clear, and attracted my eye to another mystery. What do your senses tell?"

"Little one of the soil, the same energy making the sun erupt fiercely and expanding the atmospheres of all the planets is affecting other stars including Sirius. Galactic winds are blowing and everything is changing. The delicate structures of the aetheric realms are moving like silk in a breeze but soon they will change too. The lowest four levels between the air and the Van Allen Belts will be blown away, never to return to Earth. A great weight will be removed. Sirius is burning through the chains on the hearts of all."
