People who don't have a lot of experience using computers might not know that a computer virus can enter their computer when they open an attachment sent with an E mail.

Don't Open E mail attachments

As a general rule, don't open E mail attachments, even from someone you know, unless they have told you in advance that they are sending the attachment. And even then, scan the attachment with a virus detection program before opening it. The people who devise these computer viruses can take a name from someone you E mail often and make it appear that they are sending you the E mail with the virus attachment.

You Don't Need to Send Attachments

In almost every case, you can paste into the body of the E mail itself, the text and graphic data that is contained in the attachment and thus avoid any chance of delivering a computer virus via an attachment. If the data in the attachment can be found at a web site, then have people send you the web site url (address) instead of an attachment.

Virus detection programs can be downloaded free from the Internet.

Warning- New Virus: "WTC Survivor"

Dear All,

"WTC Survivor" It is a virus that will  possible erase> your whole "C" drive. It will come to you in the form of an E-Mail from a
familiar person.  A friend sent it to me,but called and warned me before I opened it.He was not so lucky and now he can't even start his computer! Forward this to everyone in your address book. I would rather receive this 25 times than not at all.

If you receive an email called "WTC Survivor" do not open it. Delete it right away! This virus removes all dynamic link libraries (. dll files) from your computer.
